You Are Drying The Dog With The Good Towels
Everyone starts by grabbing a bath towel off the rail and everyone regrets it. Cotton goes heavy the second it is soaked, it is far bigger than the job, and it goes back in the basket damp. The Sicca is microfiber, cut at 23.6 by 39.4 inches, the size of a dog, not a person.
It takes up water without turning into a dead weight, and it dries out between uses instead of sitting wet in a corner of the utility room. Printed all over with paws and bones so nobody takes it back to the bathroom. Packs of one, two or four.

Why It’s Better

- Half The Weight, Twice The Water: Microfiber holds far more than cotton without the dead weight, so drying a big dog stops being a wrestle.
- Sized For A Dog: 23.6 by 39.4 in: long enough to wrap a spaniel, small enough to keep folded by the back door.
- Dries Out Between Uses: Hang it up and it is ready by the next walk, which is one towel instead of a rotation of four.
- Plush, Not Scratchy: A short napped face, so it works on a face and ears as well as a back.
- Paw And Bone Print: Flat black print all over, so nobody takes it back to the bathroom.
- Packs Of One To Four: One for the door, or four for the car, the boot and the utility room.
Perfect for the back door in February
The walk is over, the dog is soaked to the elbow, and it is standing on the mat waiting to come into the house. Whatever is nearest gets used, and if the nearest thing is a bath towel, that is what happens every day for a whole winter. Keeping the right towel folded by the door quietly ends the argument.
The dog’s towel, kept by the door.

Questions

How big is it?
23.6 by 39.4 in (60 by 100 cm). That wraps a spaniel or a schnauzer comfortably. For a very large dog it dries them, but you will be working section by section rather than wrapping the whole animal.
How absorbent is it?
Absorbent enough to dry a wet dog without wringing it out halfway. It soaks up a full wet coat before it needs wringing
Is it better than a bath towel?
For this job, yes: it holds less dead weight when wet and dries out faster between uses. A cotton bath towel is not bad at absorbing, it is just heavy, oversized and slow to dry.
How do I wash it?
Machine wash warm and tumble on low, or hang it. Do not use fabric softener: it coats microfiber and that is what stops it absorbing.
Will it shed on a dark coat?
It is microfiber, so wash it on its own the first time. After that it behaves like any other towel on a dark coat.
Which pack should I choose?
One is enough for a small dog and dry weather. Two lets one dry while the other is in use. Four is for two dogs, or one towel each for the house, the car and the wash.
Why microfiber rather than a bath towel?
A bath towel takes on a dog’s worth of water and then just carries it around. Microfiber pulls more water for half the weight, wrings out in one twist and dries out between uses instead of going sour.
