The Ache That Builds By 4pm
You know the one. Eight hours in the same chair and it settles into your lower back, your shoulders creep toward your ears, and shifting position does nothing. The Thermova puts steady, sinking warmth exactly where that tightness sits, a 12 x 24 in pad in plush velvet both sides, running from an ordinary outlet on a US 110V cord.
Nine heat settings mean you are not stuck between barely-there and too hot, and the four timers, 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes, shut it off on their own. The cord unclips at the pad, which is what makes it machine washable and what keeps it in use a year later. It stays soft rather than rigid, so it wraps a shoulder or sits in the curve of a back.

Why It’s Better

- Warmth Where It Sits: 12 by 24 in covers a whole lower back or both shoulders at once, rather than a hot spot in one place.
- Nine Heat Settings: Not low, medium, high. Nine steps, so you find the one that suits the room and the day.
- Set It And Forget It: 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes and it switches itself off, so nothing is left running.
- Cord Unclips: The cable detaches at the pad, which is what makes the velvet cover machine washable.
- Velvet Both Sides: Plush on the face and the reverse, so nothing is scratchy through a shirt.
- Soft, Not Rigid: It wraps a shoulder or follows your back instead of sitting on it like a board.
Perfect for the desk chair that has ruined your back
If you work sitting down, the tightness is not going to fix itself between now and Friday. Warmth is the oldest comfort there is for a back that has seized up in a cold room, and a pad that plugs in beside you is the version you will actually use, unlike the wheat bag in the microwave two rooms away, or the hot water bottle that is lukewarm by the time you sit down. Set it on a middle heat, put the timer on 60, and get on with your afternoon.
Heat the person, not the room.

Your Questions, Answered

How hot does it get?
Nine settings, from gently warm through to properly hot. Start low, work up, most people settle somewhere in the middle and stay there.
Can I wash it?
Yes, and this is the part worth getting right. Unclip the cord at the pad first, then machine wash the pad. Let it dry completely and naturally before you plug it back in. Do not iron it, and never put the cord or the controller in water.
Will it switch itself off?
Yes. The timer offers 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes, and the pad shuts off when it runs out. That is the setting to use rather than leaving it on indefinitely.
Does it work in the US?
This is the US 110V version with a standard flat-pin plug. We do not sell the 220V European or UK versions, because they are the wrong voltage for a US outlet and would not be safe to use with an adapter.
Where can I use it?
Anywhere you sit near an outlet: a desk chair, the sofa, an armchair, propped behind you in bed. It is 12 by 24 inches with a detachable cord, so it moves from room to room in seconds and packs flat when you are done.
When is the best time to use it?
Any stretch you are sitting still: the afternoon at a desk, an hour on the sofa, the wind-down before bed. Set the heat, put the timer on 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes and it switches itself off, so you get the warmth without having to remember anything. Use it over clothing while you are awake.
What is in the box?
The pad, the detachable cord with its inline controller, and an instruction leaflet. There is no carry bag and no spare cord.
