Which size should I choose?
The small mat is 7.9 by 11.8 in, suited to a cat or a toy breed with one bowl. The medium at 11.8 by 19.7 in takes two bowls side by side, which is the usual choice. The large at 15.7 by 23.6 in is for a big dog or a messy drinker who needs the margin.
Is a bowl included?
No. The package is the mat on its own. Bowls in the photographs are there to show the scale.
How much can it soak up?
A tipped water bowl, a wet-food splash or a shaken-out coat, all held on the mat instead of on your floor. The absorbent top takes it in and the rubber back stops it going through, and you wipe or rinse it clean afterwards.
Does it slide on tile?
The backing is rubber and grips smooth floors including tile and sealed wood. On a very dusty floor, or on a rug, nothing grips well until the floor is clean.
How do I wash it?
Wipe it with a damp cloth day to day. For a proper clean, rinse it under the tap and hang it to dry fully before putting it back down. Do not tumble dry it.
Does it stand up to daily use?
Yes. The top is a dense absorbent fabric and the backing is a solid sheet of matte rubber, so it grips the floor, takes bowls being pushed around twice a day and wipes clean in seconds. Roll it up for travel and it comes out flat.
