How do I set it up?

Does the water need topping up?
Yes. Any open fountain loses water to evaporation and to splash, faster on a hot or windy day, so check the basin every few days while it is running and top it up. Running the pump dry is the one thing that will damage it.
Can I leave it outside in winter?
