A Wet Jumper Is Worse Than Nothing
Knitted jumpers look right and then it drizzles, and the knit holds the water against the animal for the rest of the walk. The Nimbra is a light quilted shell, ruched into soft channels, that sheds a light shower rather than soaking it up.
Sleeveless with two front armholes and an open belly, a short stand collar at the throat, and a small metal ring on the back for a lead. Cut for cats and small dogs. One honest note about sizing is in the questions below.

Why It’s Better

- Quilted Shell: A smooth padded outer ruched into channels that traps warm air and sheds light rain instead of soaking it up.
- Lead Ring On The Back: A silver D-ring sewn through the jacket, so the lead clips to metal and you skip the harness underneath.
- Open Belly: Nothing wraps the hind legs and the underside is clear, which is what most cats will actually tolerate.
- Stand Collar: A short gathered collar keeps the draught off the neck without going over the head.
- Cut Small: Sized for cats and small dogs rather than a dog coat scaled down.
- We Match Your Size: Put your pet’s chest measurement in the order notes and we pick the size.
Perfect for the cat that refuses the door once it is cold
Short-coated cats and toy breeds make their feelings about November perfectly clear at the back door. A light shell that goes on without anything over the head and leaves the belly open is about as much as most of them will accept, and it is enough to get through a short walk or a garden trip without the animal turning round at the step.
On over the back, belly left open.

Questions

What are the measurements for the sizes?
Sizes run S to XXL with no chest, neck or weight figures at all. Measure your pet’s chest at the widest point behind the front legs, order by their build, and be prepared to exchange it. If you need to buy from a chart, choose a coat that publishes one.
Does it keep the cold out?
Yes, and that is what it is built for. Ruched quilted channels trap a layer of warm air the way a real puffer does, the stand collar keeps the draught off the neck, and the smooth shell sheds a light shower on the way to the park. Warm and light at the same time, which is the hard part on a cat or a small dog.
How do I choose a size?
Approximate chest sizing: S 12-14 in · M 14-17 in · L 17-20 in · XL 20-23 in · XXL 23-26 in. S suits a cat or a toy breed, M a Yorkie or a Chihuahua, L a Bichon or a Pug, XL a Frenchie, XXL a Cocker. Measure the chest at the widest point just behind the front legs. If your dog sits between two sizes, add the measurement in your order notes and we will match it for you before it ships.
Can I clip a lead to the ring?
Yes. The silver D-ring on the upper back is sewn through the jacket, so it takes the lead directly and you do not need a harness underneath for an ordinary walk. If your dog leans into the lead, run a padded harness under the jacket as well.
Will a cat accept it?
More readily than most coats, because nothing goes over the head and the belly stays open. Let them wear it indoors for a few short sessions first, and expect the first attempt to involve a lot of sitting still.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash cool and air dry flat. A hot wash and a tumble dryer will pull quilted padding out of shape, and it never recovers.
Why this rather than a bulky coat?
Ruched quilted channels give you real puffer warmth without the bulk that stops a small dog moving. Open belly, stand collar, and a D-ring on the back so the lead clips to the jacket.
