Does it keep the cold out?
Yes, and that is what it is built for. Will a cat accept it?
More readily than most coats, because nothing goes over the head and the belly stays open. Let them wear it indoors for a few short sessions first, and expect the first attempt to involve a lot of sitting still.
How do I wash it?
