Thin Polyester Collapses On The Dog
Small-dog dresses look perfectly good flat in the packet. On the dog, thin polyester gives up immediately: the skirt clings to the back legs, the shape disappears, and the photograph you had in mind looks cheap. The Belora is cut from corduroy, which has enough body to hold a skirt out where it belongs.
A ruffled pinafore over a white collared shirt with puffed sleeves, a corduroy bow at the chest and another at the back, and a matching hair bow in the box. Front legs only, so it pulls straight on. Five sizes, chest 14.6 to 21.7 inches.

Why It’s Better

- Corduroy, Not Polyester: The ribbed weave has real body, so the skirt stands away from the back legs instead of clinging when the dog sits.
- Two Pieces, One Look: A red pinafore over a white collared shirt with puffed sleeves, so the front reads as layered clothing.
- Matching Hair Bow: A corduroy bow on a small clip, cut from the same fabric and in the box.
- Ruffled Straps: Ruffles stand up over the shoulders with a bow at the chest, which is what separates a dress from a vest.
- Front Legs Only: Over the head, two front legs through. No hind legs, no zip, nothing to buckle.
- Five Sizes: Chest 14.6 to 21.7 in, for dogs from 3.3 to 19.8 lb.
Perfect for the small dog who is in every photo anyway
Corduroy catches the light along its ribs and holds a shape when a dog sits down. That is the whole difference between an outfit and a costume, and it is why this photographs like clothing. There is a particular kind of owner who will understand this immediately and a particular kind who will not.
Dressed, not costumed.

Questions

What comes in each option?
The Full Set is the red corduroy pinafore, the white collared shirt and the matching corduroy hair bow on a clip. Dress and Hair Bow is the pinafore and the bow without the shirt underneath, choose that one if your dog already has a plain white top or you would rather layer it over their own.
How do I choose a size?
Chest is the measurement that decides the fit. Measure the widest part of the chest just behind the front legs. Chest runs 14.6 in at S through 21.7 in at XXL, and there is also a fit weight guide from about 3 lb at S to 22 lb at XXL. Allow up to 0.8 in of variation and take the larger size if your dog falls between two.
Is it warm enough to wear outside?
It is a light indoor outfit. Corduroy is not insulated and there is no lining, so treat it as something for the house, the car and photographs rather than a winter layer. In cold weather put a proper coat over the top.
Will the skirt get in the way?
Not indoors or in the garden. The skirt is short, gathered and sits clear of the back legs, so your dog moves normally in it. Slip it off before a long walk and it takes two seconds.
How should I wash it?
We would suggest hand washing in cold water and drying flat. Corduroy loses its pile in a hot wash and a tumble dryer will flatten the ribbing, which is the thing making the skirt hold its shape.
Does the hair bow stay on?
It is a small clip, so it holds well in longer or curlier hair and less well in a short flat coat. On a Bichon or a Maltese it sits securely. It is easy to take off, and nothing else in the outfit depends on it.
Why corduroy rather than polyester?
Because it hangs properly. Polyester dog dresses go flat and shiny after two washes; corduroy holds its shape, takes light like real clothing and photographs like an outfit rather than a costume.
