How do I choose a size?
Measure the chest at the widest point behind the front legs and the back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, then match to the chart below. Chest is what decides the fit, the listing states plainly that the weight column is a rough guide only, and that a pet who usually takes an S will not necessarily take this S. Allow up to about 1.2 in variation.
Will it fit a cat?
Yes, in the smaller sizes. Measure the chest the same way you would for a dog. The pull-on shape works provided your cat tolerates something going over its head.
Is it warm enough for outside?
For a dry-day walk, yes. Soft polyester fleece holds warmth well for how light it feels. On a wet or windy day, layer a coat over the top.
How do I wash it?
Turn it inside out, hand wash cold and dry flat. The design is screen printed on the surface, so avoid hot water, tumble drying and ironing over the print, those are what make a print crack.
Will the print crack or peel?
It is screen printed onto the fleece rather than a heat-pressed vinyl patch, which holds up better. Washing it inside out and cool is still the thing that decides how long it lasts.
Can my dog wear a harness over it?
Yes. It is thin enough that a harness sits over the top without bunching, which is worth knowing if you are heading out rather than staying in.
